New Year’s Makeup Tutorial: Mixed Metals with Jewel Toned Accents

I usually pull inspiration for makeup tutorials from different beauty and fashion magazines. I always look forward to the December issues – plump full of holiday gift guides and endless party style and makeup ideas. But all my December glossies failed me this time around. Isn’t there another way to rock a holiday look without going for the classic red lip? YES! But you have to explore beyond the polished and fragrant pages.
The New Year’s inspired look that I came up with is a mixture of some of my favorite trends – mixed metals (think gold, silver, and pewter) and rich jewel toned colors (like violet and turquoise blue).
I hope you’ll re-create this look – wear it for a holiday party or any night out. Oh, and feel free to mix and match your accessories accordingly… rose gold, silver, gunmetal, and why not throw in some pearls while you’re at it!
P.S. red lips optional.
